ANDY vs PAUL GILBERT

As I always told Andy, romantic is defined as having Andy, me & guitar. So, I bought him an Ibanez signatured guitar by Paul Gilbert, as his belated birthday gift. Does that sounds romantic?!!

He used to dreamed of this guitar at night, and of course, daydream of it and imagine himself holding it by facing the big mirror. To motivate him more of wanting the guitar, he watched a lot of Paul Gilbert's videos and lessons. Heck, even Erin can recognise Paul Gilbert's songs now. I guess, to compare her and his dad, Erin is the No. 1 fan of Paul Gilbert now.

So here they are, Andy & his new guitar. Hope you get back your soul, sayang!

Cik Ratna (Andy's auntie) may make a career turn as a singer. She has a nice tone (cam dengar suara orang dulu2 nyanyi dlm cite P Ramlee). Hereunder photo was taken last May during the recording of "Kucari Jejakmu", poetry song written by her husband, uncle Malim, and music arrangement by the Soul Out band. Peter, kalau singer Soul Out cuti, Cik Ratna bleh replace, hehe.

Makan-makan for my birthday.

Andy was supposed to organize a surprise party for me, but as usual, I caught his intention. But it was his thought and effort that counted and amazed me. Surprisingly, Andy's mum sent me a birthday wish which I kept wondering how she knew that day was my birthday. Anyway, thanks Auntie. It meant a lot to me.

Erin drives Porsche.

Erin and I obviously share the same particular interest... we like car, we like driving. I realize every time when we are in the car, she always look at the steering while her hands busy touching the gear. Therefore, we bought her a new 4 wheels. On the first day, daddy taught her how to drive, but ended up with daddy keep pushing the car for her. On the second day, she only knew how to reverse the car (i guess, she only learnt how to use reverse gear from his dad... hahaha). On the following progressive days, she was so happy driving the cars around the house which help her a lot on doing what she really good at... mess up the house (bersepah2 rumah, easily for her to grab anything around the house).

Blow the Candles, Sayang!

Surprise!

It was great to surprise Andy with cake and candles surrounded by Happy Birthday song. It was even memorable when I stood on the stage with cake and candles while he was busy with his guitar playing Happy Birthday (without knowing that the song was for him, himself). Realizing what was actually happened, Andy gave a malu-malu kind of look. Hahaha

Somehow that morning I got an idea on how to make him smiling, more happy than when he holds his guitar. I went back late from work that evening and I blamed traffic jam for the lateness. Erin and Andy were tired waiting for me at home while I was rushing to the bakery shop. I hid the cake in the bonnet, hoping that Andy will not put his guitar and effect in it. I sent him to Soda Club that evening acting like nothing fishy happened.

I was wondering what you wish for when you blew the candles... should be something involve me! (confident jer bunyi nye...)

Sayang, I always tell you romantic moments should involve YOU, ME and the GUITAR. Trust me now?!!! Muah

Soulful Night with Soul Out

I went to Soda Club, Sri Hartamas, last Friday July 6. Hope it was so meaningful to Andy for having me there during his birthday night.

It was so overwhelming watching Andy performed on stage again (boleh tahan la...hehehe... ala-ala Paul Gilbert).

Reminded me on why I always proud of him... for doing what he does best and for choosing the direction that makes him ANDY.

The amazing SOUL OUT band turns Soda Club up full blast. Standing ovation for the outstanding moves by Andy (guitar), Peter (Bass, band leader... cum bapak tarzan according to Erin), Ken (keyboard), Lee (drum), Wan and Linda (vocals).
